laboratory is CLIA
certified. This
certification ensures
quality lab testing
services. Clay County
Health Department offers
a wide variety of laboratory
services that are both
convenient and affordable.
Some of the services
available through our
lab include:
Blood
chemistry panel -
includes glucose,
liver, kidney, lipid
panel, thyroid panel,
CBC, urine check,
Blood Pressure check,
weight check, and
stool cards for hidden
blood.
Men over age 50 also
receive PSA.
Women's panel (no PSA)
and men under age 50
***Screening lab work
is self-pay only, not
covered by Medicare,
Medicaid, or other private
insurance.
Lab
tests ordered by your
doctor -
Monday, Tuesday,
and Wednesday with
no appointment required.
Prices vary depending
on type of test ordered.
Lab work with a doctor's
order can be billed
to Medicaid, Medicare,
private insurances,
NC Health Choice or
self-pay.
Other
tests that can
be done without a doctor's
order include:
Hemoglobin (for anemia)
Glucose (Blood
sugar, fingerstick)
Urinalysis
Pregnancy
Testing
Stool
Cards (test for hidden
blood)
HIV
testing is done confidentially -
Monday-Friday by appointment
at no charge.
We
file Medicaid and
Medicare and are a
provider for state
insurance plans. We provide a
coded receipt for other
insurance filing.
