Clay County Health Department provides a wide variety of services to our citizens. The focus of Clay County Health Department is on the community rather than on a single individual.  Our mission is to constantly monitor the health of our community in an on-going manner to quickly identify problems and implement measures to limit or stop disease, death, and disability.

Clay County Health Department can help you establish and maintain better health for you and your family.  Fees for clinical services will vary based on income and number of persons in your household (sliding fee scale). Medicaid, Medicare and private insurances are accepted, along with self pay and NC Health Choice for children.

Child Immunizations for children ages 0-18 are available .  Appointments are available at the Clay County Health Department Monday-Friday from 8am-12n and 1pm-5pm and can be made by calling 828-389-8052 ext. 0.
